The free plan lists "uncensored," the FAQ says otherwise

Venice's free tier bullets read "Private & uncensored," and the site's own footer calls itself "Private, unrestricted AI for everyone."

Its FAQ tells a different story. Asked how to disable the Mature Filter, Venice answers: "You can disable the Mature Filter if you have a Pro plan or higher. Open Settings and turn the Mature Filter off."

Pro costs $18/mo. Below that tier, the filter stays switched on even though the free-plan bullet reads "uncensored," and the free plan itself is scoped to "base AI models" only.

"Uncensored" gets attached to three different things

The word covers which model you can run, whether a filter sits in front of what that model produces, and what the file looks like once it lands on your screen.

On Venice, all three sit behind the same $18/mo Pro line. The free plan is capped to base models, the Mature Filter stays on, and the watermark stays stamped on every image.

On PixAI, the word never appears as a blanket promise at all. Restrictions attach to the render style you pick, not to a plan you pay for.

Two platforms, two different mechanisms, and neither one matches the single-switch idea the phrase "free and uncensored" implies.

PixAI restricts realism, not the subject

PixAI's content guidelines are specific: "Prompts containing sensitive tags cannot be used with realistic models." A realistic explicit image that does get published gets removed outright.

NSFW generation requires the "Confirm Over 18" setting to be on at all; without it, the guidelines state "nsfw content cannot be generated." A separate "Blur Sensitive Content" toggle adds another layer on top.

PixAI defines two content classes, "Normal Content" and "Sensitive Content," with the second facing what its own guidelines call "stricter moderation and visibility restrictions." Nudity, violence, sexual behaviour and suggestive scenarios all fall under that second class.

Moderation runs automated, but a flagged image is not necessarily a final answer. Users can request a human review for anything the AI moderator labels sensitive, through what PixAI calls an "Appeal" button.

The same subject can clear moderation or get pulled based on how photoreal the render looks, which makes render style the actual gate, not what the prompt describes.

One rule sits outside that render-style logic entirely. PixAI's guidelines prohibit any content that "sexually depicts or implies minors, regardless of whether they are fictional or real," with account termination as the stated consequence, and separately ban suggestive images that could pass as real minors.

Free skips the filter fight and hands you a watermark instead

Venice's FAQ gates watermark removal the same way it gates the Mature Filter: "You can remove the Venice watermark on images if you have a Pro plan or higher." Free output carries the mark.

Above Pro sit Pro Plus at $68/mo and Max at $200/mo, so the $18 tier is only the entry point into a four-tier ladder, not the top of it.

Two of the top results in this search no longer exist

Two of the ten results for this exact search term are app listings: an Apple App Store page and an AppBrain page, both for apps named around "uncensored image generator."

Neither app resolves. The iTunes Lookup API returns zero results for both app IDs across the US, GB and NZ storefronts, and the US App Store page itself renders "The page you're looking for can't be found."

That is the extent of what can be confirmed. The NZ storefront returned a rate-limit response rather than a clean 404, so no 404 claim gets made there, and why either app disappeared is not something this reporting can establish.

PixAI sells more credits without ever stating the baseline

PixAI's paid plans are marketed entirely in relative terms. Starter promises "20% more daily credits," Plus promises "100% more," and Premium promises "200% more."

More than what never gets published on the plans page. There is no stated free-tier daily credit number anywhere on it, which means every percentage on that page describes an increase over a figure PixAI never discloses.

The three tiers themselves are priced plainly enough: Starter at $10.00/mo, Plus at $30.00/mo, Premium at $50.00/mo, each also billable annually at a discount. It's the free baseline underneath all three that stays missing.

The absence itself is the finding: you cannot calculate what any paid tier actually gets you without a number PixAI never publishes.

Consent does not scale down because a tool is free

A free uncensored AI image generator is the clearest case of a tool that can be pointed at a real person's likeness without their knowledge. Free tiers do not change what that produces.

Generating sexual imagery of a real person without their consent is illegal in many jurisdictions, and it sits entirely outside what this coverage addresses. BlushVue covers synthetic characters, not real people, and that line does not move for any tool named here.

What this reporting does not cover

The Mature Filter's actual behaviour was not tested. No prompts were run through Venice's free or paid tiers to see what the filter blocks or allows in practice.

Venice's pricing-table checkmarks for NSFW generation, upscaling and watermark removal rendered empty during the scrape, so the gating claims here rest entirely on the two FAQ answers quoted above, not on the table itself.
